Alumni Network Rules & Code of Conduct
1. Purpose of the Platform
This platform exists to connect alumni, foster professional and personal growth, and strengthen our shared community.
It is a space for networking, collaboration, mentorship, and celebration of achievements — not for spam, harassment, or the spread of misinformation.
2. Respect and Professionalism
- Treat every member with respect, regardless of background, role, or opinion.
- Harassment, bullying, hate speech, or any form of discrimination is strictly prohibited.
- Always communicate in a professional, courteous, and inclusive manner.
3. Privacy and Sensitive Information
- Do not share personal or sensitive information about yourself, another individual, or any business entity without explicit consent.
- Sensitive information includes but is not limited to:

- Discussions about employers or businesses must remain general and respectful.
4. Authenticity and Integrity
- Use your real name and accurate details when registering.
- Do not impersonate any person, alumni, or organization.
- Avoid spreading false, misleading, or unverified information.
- Any fundraising, promotion, or event shared should be genuine and verifiable.
5. No Spam or Unauthorized Promotion
- Avoid posting unsolicited advertisements, repetitive messages, or irrelevant links.
- Business or job postings should be placed only in designated sections (e.g., “Careers” or “Business Showcase”).
- Messages that aim solely for commercial gain without value to the alumni community may be removed.
6. Constructive Engagement
- Debate ideas, not individuals.
- Encourage discussions that add value, insight, or opportunities to the community.
- Report inappropriate behavior or suspicious content using the Report feature or by contacting moderators.
7. Data and Platform Security
- Do not attempt to hack, scrape, or misuse the platform’s data or APIs.
- Sharing login credentials or using automated bots is strictly prohibited.
- Always keep your password and account credentials secure.
8. Events and Networking Etiquette
- When attending in-person or virtual alumni events, maintain the same standards of respect and privacy as on the platform.
- Obtain consent before taking or sharing photos, recordings, or private discussions.
9. Content Ownership and Use
- Members retain ownership of their content but grant the platform the right to display and promote community content in line with privacy settings.
- The platform reserves the right to moderate or remove content that violates these rules.

- Violations may result in content removal, warnings, temporary suspension, or permanent removal from the platform.
